Case Manager and Trainer
Temporary until April 2011 with possibility of extension beyond.
Case Manager – 3 days per week-must include Wednesday (21 hours) – Starting salary £26,400 Pro-rata (£15,840) or £27,225 (£16,335) if applicant also has direct experience of training mediators.
A pension contribution equal to 4% of salary will be paid into the appointee’s nominated pension.
Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year pro rata (15 days)
The applicant must be a trained mediator and will have excellent interpersonal skills together with a patient but assertive telephone manner.
Based at our office in Key House, West Drayton, they will be responsible for taking in neighbour dispute cases from the public and from referral agencies, recording necessary information on a database and allocating the cases to volunteer mediators. They will then monitor and support the progress of cases to ensure an efficient, responsive service is provided.
An additional aspect of the role includes the appointee joining our Training Group and being jointly responsible with our other Case Manager for organising our Mediator training courses, and providing regular support sessions for our Mediators, as well as Mediation Awareness training for potential referrers. There will also be a small management responsibility for our Conflict Coaching project.
